Zwangsräumung in Berlin verhindert, Solidarität mit IvI und Köpi
Erneut haben Solidarität und öffentlicher Druck zumindest zur Aussetzung einer Zwangsräumung in Berlin geführt.
Das IvI in Frankfurt ist räumungsbedroht und der Köpi Wagenplatz in Berlin gerät unter Druck durch eine Zwangsversteigerung.
Reports of demonstration in solidarity with the KvU, Pizzeria Anarchia and all squats of the world

On Saturday 2nd of February, 2013, a demonstration for the defense and expansion of liberated spaces worldwide took place in Vienna. It was the first day of the transnational campaign for a black february, a day when demonstrations and actions for similar causes happened in several cities around the world.
The demonstration was loud and lively. The route passed the offices of the owners of the Viennese squat Pizzeria Anarchia, the place were the buildings of the Epizentrum used to be (a big occupation in October/November 2011, the buildings were demolished just days after the eviction), the building of the green party (who is in the city government since a few years), the Ammerlinghaus (one of the oldest projects in Vienna that were won by occupation) and ended at the office of the company owning the building of the K.v.U. project in Berlin. There were chants all the time, many flyers passed out, and verbal inputs at all the important spots that were passed.
Apart from the situation in Berlin and Vienna, transnational solidarity was an important topic of the demonstration. So the demonstration also visit also the Votiv church that is occupied by protesting refugees since several weeks. Refugees speaked to the demonstrators and demonstrators to the refugees. Refugees told, there are ill people in the church and they need help and benefit-actions.
It was initiated by people from Berlin, mostly by supporters of the project K.v.U, the network „Wir bleiben alle!“ and the North East Antifa. The K.v.U. is an project that dates back to the ending times of the east-german GDR and has been a place for antagonistic (youth-)culture and antifascism in Berlin ever since. Now it is threatened by eviction, because the investor company „Immowert“, which has its seat in Vienna, bought the buildings that are home to the K.v.U. and wants them
to move out immediately. This already brought K.v.U. supporters to Vienna before, and connections were made among others with the collective of Pizzeria Anarchia. The idea to make a demonstration together has been around for a while, and the rather small movement in Vienna could definetely make use of some support from other cities.
In Vienna, the demo was also mobilised for and supported by the platzda! Campaign, the Pankahyttn. The Autonome Antifa Wien also published the call for the demonstration on they’re website. K.v.U and Friends also joined the day before the Demonstration of Autonome Antifa Wien against the far right mass-event Wiener Akademikerball.
Informations about the situation of Pizzeria Anarchia
The Pizzeria Anarchia is also threatened by eviction. The old house with a pizzeria in the ground floor has been a brutal example of the methods real estate investors use to make a maximum profit: People with older and rather cheap rental contracts are being driven out of their homes with pressure and terror, to renovate the whole house and later sell each apartment individually, usually to people of a totally different income range than the people living there before. The company that owns the house of Pizzeria Anarchia in Muehlfeldgasse 12, Castella GmbH, has a special business model in this process: They buy old houses with just a few tenants left, people that the previous owners didn’t manage to get out, because older rent contracts are usually unlimited in time and the rents often much lower than the flats you can find nowadays. By legal means, it’s almost impossible to get people out of flats like that. So the prices of houses with a few people renting on an old contract are comparably low. If someone manages to get the people out anyways, possible profits are very high.
Castella GmbH is specialized on this kind of houses, and their creativity to terrorize the people until they move out seems endless – stinking chemicals or oil poured out in the stairways, constantly broken front doors to produce a feeling of lack of safety, missing windows or gas supply turned off in the middle of the winter, people with dogs aggressively knocking at the doors late at night telling people to move out, neglect of neccessary repairs and cleaning, usually groundless.

At first, the owners of the house thought the people of Pizzeria Anarchia could be usefull to their goal of driving out the people still living there with old contracts, so they allowed them for the first half year to stay in the Pizzeria and some of the empty flats for free. But of course the people from the Pizzeria collective never wanted to play that role, and started friendly relations with the older tenants from the beginning. They are people who insisted on staying
there even though the previous owner had managed to get empty thirteen flats in a short time, and despite the terror that started since Castella GmbH owned the house.
After some time, the pizzeria turned into a lively meeting place not only for the people living in the house, but also for people of the neighbourhood and the antagonistic movement in Vienna. Every sunday, pizza is made for everybody with the principle of free donation, on tuesday films are being shown, there is an info shop with a small library and a free shop were everybody can bring and take what they need.
Towards the end of the „legal“ time last June, a campaign against the owners was launched, exposing their methods of throwing people out of their homes for profit.
The topic was picked up by much of mainstream media, and the fact that the people of Pizzeria Anarchia, usually displayed as „punks“, bound up with the old tenants against the brutal owners was a much-wondered-at curiosity. Now it was clear that the owners had made a mistake to let the Pizzeria people in, and that they were actually the biggest obstacle to their success. It is clear that they will not get the tenants out of the house as long as the pizzeria collective is there, too. And even the eviction cases against people in other houses owned by
the company were dropped, at least for a while.
On the 2nd of August 2012, the owners tried to evict the pizzeria and the flats used by the collective, with the help of about twelve construction workers, two private detectives and a locksmith. They tried to also get the support of the police, but failed to agitate them to directly participate in the eviction, even though they ignored all crossings of legal boundaries by the owners and cooperated with them to some degree. But people were mobilised to support the
house, and it was managed to defend it. After more than twelve hours, in the middle of the night, the bosses of Castella and their gang gave up and withdrew. Since then, there is a case in the district court to evict the pizzeria collective „the legal way“, and now it is practically over, even though the verdict is not spoken yet. But it is clear that the court will order to execute the „right“ of the owners eventually. So probably within the next few months,
the state will try to evict the house and return it to the hands of Castella GmbH.
Lots of support will be needed to prevent this from happening.

Pizzeria Anarchia in danger of eviction
The following text is about our squat in the 2nd district of Vienna called „Pizzeria Anarchia“ which is now in danger of eviction. The owners of the house are Nery Alaev and Avner Motaev, who are hiding behind their „Castella GmBH“. They offered us to move into the house for six months in November 2011 with the hidden agenda that we will kick out the old tenants. The bottom line is, that we stayed, and are now fighting together with the old tenants (which are now in fact comrades of us) against the landlords. With this short explanation about the principals of our squat we just want to make it more known and hope you will inform yourself about the upcoming situation.
We are an open collective and as this, we are trying to create a free, social, and cultural space where we can hold different types of open discussions and events.
When we say “free space”, we don’t mean a space with no rules. We mean a self-organized space open for all who agree with our fundamentals. Any person is welcome to come and participate whenever they please. All progressive ideas and suggestions are welcome.
We offer a “Free-Shop” where you can come in and take or leave anything you wish with no costs. We also have an “Infoshop” where you can find various books, zines, and flyers of diverse collectives, activities and social movements that may be of your interest. On Tuesday nights we have the “Movie-Night” where we screen many different types of non-mainstream and difficult-to-find films. We are equipped with a built-in stone oven where anyone can bake delicious pizzas for all on every Sunday. We also have a small collective kitchen for anyone who desires to cook and eat something. Every Friday our info-café takes place. There we try to arrange talks and discussions about anarchist and autonomous topics, or just read and talk about zines and books of our “Infoshop”.
Whatever materials or help you may have is welcome, although the best way to collaborate with our cause is your direct participation. To facilitate the participation for all people we decided to set up some axiomatic public policy: You are very welcome if you show responsible and respectful behaviour! But you are not welcome and will get kicked out,

It will be a constant struggle to fulfil this commitment, which will not be successful without your contribution. Try to raise your own and the community’s awareness. Everybody who participates in the Pizzeria Anarchia is responsible.
Other points about our interests and thoughts:
We are searching for new alternative ways of fighting against the actual problem of housing and un-payable high rents and evictions. An society witch is based on the idea of DIY (Do It Yourself) is part of our self-concept in the struggle for an anarchist world which is built on freedom and solidarity. Good relationships with the neighbours, mutual trust, and co-existence are main parts of the line of fighting. Of course, as anarchists, we reject and will fight all forms of discrimination, oppression, violence and every type of hierarchy, which includes a daily fight against goverments and borders. We want to develop stronger values of solidarity, voluntarity, respect and self-responsibility.

Die Mazzes Insel ist einer der Bezirke, welche in Wien am stärksten von Gentrifizierung und Verdrängung betroffen ist. Seit das Projekt Pizzeria besteht, gab es deshalb verschiedene Interventionen im 2. Bezirk, vom Strassenfest bis zu den Mietdemos. An dem InfoCafé Abend wollen wir deshalb darüber diskutieren, wo in diesem Bezirk Orte sind, welche besonders von Spekulation und Verdrängung betroffen sind, wo widerständige Praktiken geschehen (oder geschehen könnten), und so eine räumliche Vorstellung der Gentrifizierung zu schaffen, welche für zukünftige Interventionen hilfreich sein kann.

Jeden Sonntag findet in der PizzeriA das legendäre Pizza-Massaka statt. Ab dem frühen Abend stehen alle Zeichen auf PizzA ! Kommt vorbei helft mit bringt euer Lieblingsgemüse und Freund-Innen mit und heizt mit uns den berühmtberüchtigten Steinofen ein.

Filme unter der Hand Filmbeginn ca. 20 Uhr, offen ab 19 Uhr. Wenn sich genügend helfende Hände finden wird meistens auch gekocht. Raritäten, kontroverses, DIY oder einfach Filme die wir gerne zeigen möchten. Meist wird das gemeinsam Gesehene danach noch diskutiert.

Info Café @InfoMazzes: Offen ab 16 Uhr. Ab Freitag dem 11.1.13 gibt es in der Pizzeria ein weiteren Fixtermin, das Infocafe “Infomazzes”. Der immer besser sortierte, schöner gestaltete und umfangreichere Infoladen der Pizza hat sich eine Aufwertung verdient, deshalb werden ab nächster Woche jeden Freitag die Türen der Pizzeria geöffnet und der Infoladen sowie unser Kostnix-Shop der Allgemeinheit zugänglich gemacht. Dabei wird es immer wieder Schwerpunkte bzw. gemeinsame Aktivitäten geben.
In der PizzeriA findest du auch einen KostNixLaden,
du nimmst dir was dir gefällt oder was du brauchst, oder bringst was du weitergeben möchtest, etc.,…

Zwangsräumung einer Familie in Berlin wird gegen Widerstand und Solidarität von Tausend Menschen brutal durchgesetzt
Pfefferspray-Einsatz durch die Polizei
Am Morgen des 14.2.2013 ist die Familie G. mit einem Aufgebot von mindestens 400 Polizist_innen in Kampfausrüstung gegen den Widerstand von rund Eintausend solidarischen Menschen aus ihrer Wohnung in der Lausitzer Straße 8 in Berlin geräumt worden. Die Räumung war für 9 Uhr angesetzt – bereits vor 6 Uhr begann die Polizei sich vor dem Hauses zu postieren und die Straße mit Tretgittern abzusperren. Ein Hubschrauber kreiste über dem Haus. Trotzdem schaffen es viele solidarische Menschen, den Zugang zum Haus mit einer Sitzblockade zu blockieren. Diese wurde schnell von der Polizei umringt. Weitere Unterstützer_innen umringten ihrerseits die Polizei. Sprechchöre, Samba-Trommeln und von verschiedenen Leuten und Gruppen vorbereitete Verpflegung sorgten für gute Stimmung. Die Absperrungen der Straße mit Tretgittern und postierten Einheiten der Polizei mit Helm und Schlagstock wurde immer wieder von weiteren Menschen überwunden, und so wuchs die Menschentraube vor dem Haus stetig. Aus den benachbarten Häusern hingen solidarische Transparente, Essen und Getränke wurden an Seilen herunter gelassen, um die Unterstützer_inne vor dem Haus zu versorgen. Irgendwann verbreitete sich die Nachricht, dass von der an den selben Häuserblock angrenzenden Wiener Straße über einen Hof auch ein Zugang möglich sei. Auch dort sammelten sich Menschen zu einer Sitzblockade, die von der Polizei mehrfach mit Pfefferspray und Knüppeln angegriffen und letzten Endes aufgelöst wurde.

Die Gerichtsvollzieherin wurde letzten Endes in eine Polizeiuniform gesteckt, eine Hoftür aufgebrochen und ein Zaun durchgeschnitten, um von Hinten in das Haus zu gelangen. Dies passierte kurz vor 9 Uhr, also noch vor dem der Familie G. angekündigten Termin. Kurze Zeit später war die Räumung vollzogen, aber auch ein sehr deutliches Zeichen gesetzt worden gegen Verdrängung und Eigentümerwillkür. Es wurde gezeigt, dass es massive Gewalt braucht, um die Profitinteressen eines Hausbesitzers gegen die Solidarität einer lebendigen Nachbarschaft und anderer Unterstützer_innen durchzusetzen. Der Polizeieinsatz hat mit Sicherheit mehrere zehntausend Euro gekostet, für André Franell aber war dieser Service kostenlos. Zwar ist es schwer bis unmöglich, auf dieser fast schon militärischen Eskalationsstufe Räumungen gegen die Staatsmacht zu verhindern, wird aber immer öfter Widerstand geleistet wie an diesem kalten Februarmorgen, dann könnte die Rechnung bald zu teuer werden – nicht nur die monetäre. Denn die stille Zustimmung zu einer Politik, die immer schamloser ausschließlich die Interessen des Kapitals schützt, und dabei die Menschen mit Füßen tritt, wird durch solche unüberhörbaren solidarischen Aktionen schwer erschüttert – gut so! Auf dass bei jedem Mal mehr Menschen da sind und zusammenhalten, wenn Einzelne getroffen werden – aber letztlich wir alle gemeint sind!
Nach dem die Räumung abgeschlossen war, zog ein Großteil der Unterstützer_innen mit einer lautstarken Spontandemonstration durch die Bezirke Kreuzberg und Neukölln. Die Polizei versuchte zwar immer wieder die Straßen dicht zu machen und Teile der Demonstration zu kesseln, aber die entschlossene Menge schaffte es immer wieder, an den bewaffneten Schergen des Staates vorbeizukommen. So gelang den frustrierten Beamten nur, mit großer Brutalität einzelne Leute herauszugreifen, sie zu Boden zu reißen, auf ihnen zu knien, die Arme zu verdrehen, ihnen mit ihren Handschuhen ins Gesicht und in die Augen zu greifen, den Kopf nach hinten zu reißen, sie anzubrüllen – das übliche Programm, auf das die Einheiten zur Unterdrückung politischen Protestes eben geschult werden. Mindestens 20 Leute wurden auf diese oder ähnliche Weise festgenommen, die Demonstration selbst konnte aber nicht aufgehalten werden. Auch am Abend gab es noch mindestens eine kleinere spontane Demonstration als Protest gegen die Räumung.
Auch wenn die Räumung nicht verhindert werden konnte, wurde ein klares Zeichen gesetzt. Mit den Worten des gerade frisch aus seiner Wohnung geräumten A.G.: Das war erst der Anfang!
Die Antwort auf Verdrängung muss immer wieder heißen: Solidarität und Widerstand!
Es wird Zeit, auch in Wien und anderswo etwas gegen Delogierungen und Verdrängung zu unternehmen!

Solidarität mit den Arbeiter_innen von Vio.Me!
Wir unterstützen den Kampf der Arbeiter_innen von Vio.Me und drücken unsere volle Solidarität mit ihnen aus. Die Arbeiter_innen von Vio.Me in Thessaloniki (Griechenland) haben seit Mai 2011 keinen Lohn mehr ausgezahlt bekommen, die Fabrik wurde von den Managern verlassen, die Produktion gestoppt. Die Arbeiter_innen haben schließlich die Fabrik besetzt und starten mit 12. Februar 2013 die Produktion wieder – selbstverwaltet, ohne Hierarchien und unter eigener Kontrolle. Dieses Projekt zeigt wie wichtig der Kampf für eine autonome Lebensführung ist und reiht sich ein in eine Reihe von erfolgreichen Arbeiter_innenkämpfen auf der ganzen Welt. Wir sehen einen Zusammenhang zu unserem eigenen Projekt: Wir glauben, dass, egal ob in den Häusern in denen wir wohnen, in den Fabriken in denen wir arbeiten oder in den Schulen und Universitäten in denen wir lernen, eine kollektive Entscheidungsbasis notwendig ist, jegliche hierarchischen Strukturen zerstört werden müssen und es keine Bosse und Chefitäten mehr geben darf!
In diesem Sinne:
Die Fabriken denen, die darin arbeiten!
Die Häuser denen, die darin wohnen!
Die Schulen und Universitäten für alle!
